📚NASS UNION❓🔷  GOOD DAY CAN WE MEET YOU?

HESKAY: Good evening,I am Oluwadare Sunkanmi, my people call me HESKAY
I am a 300L student of the department of Microbiology and an aspirant for NASS president AAUA CHAPTER in the forthcoming session

📚NASS UNION:WHAT ARE YOUR AMBITiONS IF YOU EMERGE AS NASS PRESIDENT❓

HESKAY ✌I'II stress that not all unionist are the same, some give false promises but I've come because I have a target
Firstly, welfarism especially academic welfarism, previous school calendar has been set to frustrate student, you see lectures clashing with another, student miss classes because of clashed lectures which causes poor grasping of the lecture been missed this will change if given the mantle of Nass president
Also,we can see that one of the criteria used for Nigerian universities rating is "Research performance measurement"how do we rate AAUA NASS?

LOW !!!

This is because we as Nassites are not acting as scientist,we hurriedly carry out our projects, copy previous projects and get out from the school, little has been done on researches. As scientist as we tag ourselves,it's time we started working as one. Physics electronic student should innovate good project that would be recognized,Microbiology student should find a new assay that can inhibit microbial growth,Geology student should tell us what to expect on Ondostate lands in years,Biochemistry student should find a new way of making drugs that can inhibit prostaglandin secretion,Chemistry student should find a new element apart from "Anhydrous Aluminium hydroxide"used in making Antacid and so on,these are my plans

📚NASS UNION:HESKAY HOW DO YOU INTEND ON ACHIEVING ALL THIS❓

HESKAY ✌On Academic Welfarism,I'II bridge the gap between student and the constituted authority to know how to go about the schools timetable in a stress free way,on research,a day seminar would be held to enlighten our student also a platform would be formed to give awards to the most creative AAUAITE of a particular semester.

📚NASS UNION:WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE AMBITION REGARDING POLITICS

HESKAY ✌One of my ambition is to be at this country senate top seat to help make that alleviates suffering in the nation and bring hope

📚NASS UNION:ANY FINAL WORD

HESKAY ✌Great scientist it is always good to think outside the box but I tell you there is no box actually, have come to unlock limitless plans and mind, please support HESKAY at  NASS001 THANK YOU

📚NASS UNION:THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND GOODLUCK.

SPIROGYRA THAT SUSTAINS LIFE

The words that intrigues me most in the world is sustainance of human life. Imagine how complex human have become, built by microscopic tailoring of numerous protein, fat, carbohydrates and mineral produced by the photoautotrophs.

The spirogyra still maintains a high ranking as a primary producer in the water body, heavily fed upon by the fingerlings, crayfish, prawns, protozoa, worms, and every other species of aquatic animals.

TAKING A MICROSCOPIC LOOK AT THE MOSQUITO PROBOSCIS

Proboscis is a long protruded modified mouth part of some species of insect used for feeding by means of sucking sap of plant, blood from animals, or other forms of fluid.

The mosquitoes proboscis is a quite interesting one, the microscopic study of such has gotten the world science fold awoken to look back again before making a fight with the mosquito.

The most disturbing thing is that mosquitoes proboscis revealed after intense research revealed that their are also smaller sucking needles embedded inside the one is even known before. The six needles are well adapted for different purpose, some are used for sucking blood, some serves as means of introducing plasmodium into the human, another also serve as detective arsenal.

All these are joined together in making a successful blood feeding

NOTE: Not all mosquitoes that bite a person will introduce plasmodium, the issue of releasing plasmodium is a reflex, more like given the individual a pat on the back for a good blood meal.

These remains the reason why Mosquitoes remain viable and the sickness they cause remain ever dangerous to the human kind since its difficult to still know it all, just more mysteries each time

MICROBES OF THE MOUTH

The human buccal cavity is a long time home for numerous microorganisms, ranging from the microbiota bacteria ( staphylococcus aureus, streptococcus spp., Haemophilus influenza) to the pathogenic stains of both bacteria, fungi, archae and so on.

The organisms that reside in the mouth are in abundance of every nutrients they might. But they are unstable because of the washing down effect of most mechanical object consume by humans including water. Since most of them cannot survive in the high acidity of the stomach, they have devices a way of clinging fast to the mouth cheek, crowns, enamel, gums below the tongue and very near to the throat.

The easiest sight to take for study is the cheek cell, scrap the cheek with either a tooth pick, sharp object or a cotton swapsmear the object having the organisms on the glass slide, add a little water and cover with a cover glass.

The picture you see under the microscope is a little intriguing, the cells below are cheek cell with all sorts of microbes swimming through it, most are the attached mouth microbes

TICK........BLOOD SUCKING MOUTH

Tick Is an ectoparasite of the animal esp dogs. It is mostly found dog living in unsanitary area. It is a very dangerous parasite because it feeds only on blood of its host and from it, it reproduces, feeds it younger once with blood and let them continue sucking most times on the same host.

The structure that makes up it's sucking mouthpart is of great concern and most horribly, a terrifying sight to behold, much like the vampire seen in the movies, it has a short powerful sucking pipe well protected by a wedge of skin which serves as a hook to hold onto the host. At the young state (nymph), the tick is resistant to mechanical crushing force and can withstand a long moment without feeding.

Under the microscope, it looks golden beautiful, properly modified with eight legs like all other arachnoid family, but the moment it opens up its mouth, you see the very scary mouth that is most peacefully made.

When you see this, you are certain this is more dangerous than just the eyes can see or the mind imagine

Stay tuned

BLOOD UNDER MICROSCOPE

Blood is a vital Part of the human circulatory system, a name which traditionally is synonymous to life or existence. The prevalence of blood as the main nutrient carrier has lot to do with its physiological and morphological make up.

It consist of

1. Red blood cell (THE WORKER)
2. White blood cell ( THE FIGHTER, DEFENDER)
3. BLOOD PLASMA ( THE MEDIUM)
4. platelets (in their very little number, does a lot)

Their is a whole lot of more new intrigues  you get to observe when observed under microscope.

4x magnification: The partition in the blood tiny cells is immediately seen, from a mere description, you can deduce that blood is made of deposited substance.

10x magnification: the picture gets better, and you see the clogged up sequence that they flow through, the blood can be pinkish red of or grayish red depending on the type of light condensation its subjected to.

40x magnification: the corpuscles is just right to sight, singly showing its positioning, the stretch of queue is seen to roll on as they flow in line. At these magnification, the blood is just ready to be seen in faint details.

100x magnification: a whole new view altogether, the view is awesome. The corpuscles are singly standing or flowing, the are singly set in their position flowing in different location, to any possible or slight space, there is a rush as though a gush of blood to fill the space. The red blood cells is plane and  are somewhat not possessing nucleus.

They are much more in number but other cells are seen at regular intervals.

I bet you, this is one of the best sight I have seen in life, it was as if I was seeing it all.

Blood under microscope

BLOOD. The mere mention of the word is enough to make some people feel faint. Most of us associate it with terrible cuts resulting from bad kitchen accidents, or with Halloween and slasher films. In some cultures, it is thought to contain the power and substance of a being, in others it is unclean and undesirable. But whatever be your personal perception of blood, have you ever seen it up-close and personal?

At 400X, there still appears to be a flow to these movements, but once he zooms in at 1000X, everything slows down. Besides images of living blood, Manea also captures images of dried blood, which evoke an old wall that is cracking under the weight of time.

The platelets are few among, followed by the white blood cell, the most prevalent is the hemoglobin carrier- red blood cell which is the oxygen carriers, the human circulatory mainstream

APHIDS

Aphids are a real threat to the production of various crops in the tropics and almost everywhere in the world. It is a motile insect that posses strong flying wings and strong sucking proboscis.
It is very much present in so many diverse geographical location, both the temperate, tropical region of the world. Though it is not by itself a pathogen, but it spreads pathogen picked by its proboscis while sucking plant sap
